Short introduction to the collaboration between the HRA of the Cluster of Excellence “Asia and Europe in a Global Context” and HERA-SINGLE:

Experts from the Digital Humanities department at Heidelberg University, the Heidelberg Research Architecture (HRA) team, introduced the CRP members to the metadata framework Tamboti, a tool that combines different modules for storing, editing and collaboratively working on video, image and textual data within one XML database based on international metadata schemas (e.g. MODS and VRA Core 4).
The CRP members were also trained in using multimedia libraries as well as Sharepoint, both online-platforms for collaboration that are provided by the Cluster “Asia and Europe” to foster cross-border cooperation. In addition to brief hands-on demonstrations for the HRA modules, manuals were produced containing explanations and real life examples to facilitate working with Tamboti. Based on the CRP members needs further intensive trainings have been scheduled for April 14 to 16 2014.
