Maddalena Chiellini has a BA in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from the University of Bologna, Italy, and an MA in Anthropology from SOAS (University of London). She worked for three years as Production Assistant and Direction Assistant at River to River, Florence Indian Film Festival, and has conducted research in India, Syria and Spain. She is currently enrolled as a PhD Candidate in Human Geography at Birkbeck, University of London, under the supervision of Dr Melissa Butcher.
